Beat The Dutch formed in 1979 as a jam
band, quickly evolved into live act for the
Minneapolis punk rock scene.
Recording some rather eccentric rock n roll &
sound experiments in 1980 as well as a demo of
the live material with Colin Mansfield
producing.
The highlight of their early output is the live
at the Clubhouse cassette recording from
1982, after which the band split.
Beat The Dutch reunited for recording
projects from time to time, beginning in 1988
and as recently as 2006 though not always
able to assemble the entire group.
